U16 (15 und 16 Jahre)

In this age group, girls and boys can still play together in one team. In addition, up to two players from the lower age group may be used in the next higher age group.

In recent years, the team has been able to build on its past successes:

2022 East German U16 Champions
2022 German U16 Champions
2023 East German U16 Champions
2023 German U16 Champions
2024 East German U16 Champions
2024 German Vice-Champions

The U16 players continue to work diligently on their development. Training is specifically adapted, and the focus is increasingly placed on tactics to ensure they are well-prepared and optimistic for upcoming competitions.

U21 (17-21 Jahre)

In the U21 age group, teenagers and young adults aged 17 to 21 compete. The teams can still compete in mixed teams, but there is also the option of competing in separate U21 men's or U21 women's teams – although all-female teams are very rare, if not nonexistent, in this age group. Only the year of birth counts for classification. So, anyone who turns 17 on December 31st of a given year already plays in the U21 category for the entire year.
KSV Glauchau can look back on a great success in 1995. At that time, the Glauchau junior team achieved the greatest sporting success in the club's history – the German Championship title in Berlin-Grünau.

These successes have been impressively continued in recent years:

2022 Vice East German Champion U21
2024 Vice East German Champion U21
2024 German Champion U21
2025 East German Champion U21
2025 German Champion U21

With these successes, the Glauchau U21 team is currently one of the strongest junior teams in Germany and forms an important basis for the transition to the performance-oriented men's and women's divisions.
Some of our athletes are national team members and part of the U21 national team.

Damen (ab 19 Jahre)

Team spirit and passion – that's what distinguishes our women's canoe polo team. Even though women are still in the minority in this sport, interest is growing steadily, and we are proud to be part of this development. To specifically promote young talent, U21 players can be used without restriction, and up to two players from the U16 girls' team can also be included in the women's league. This way, we create opportunities for young players, motivation, and athletic development.
A look at our club's history shows what commitment and cooperation can achieve:
As early as 1997, our women's team won the title of German Vice-Champion at the German Championships, which we hosted.
Two of our athletes were even part of the women's and U21 national teams and celebrated international successes there.
In 2014, our women's team achieved promotion from the 2nd league and thus played in the 1st Bundesliga in 2015 – another milestone for our team.

Further successes in recent years:

2022 Vice East German Champion
2024 Vice East German Champion

Our goal is clear: to promote and inspire girls and women in canoe polo. Because for us, success in sports means not only medals, but also growing together, mutual support, and the joy of playing on the water.

Herren (ab 19 Jahre)

The step up to the men's age group is the result of years of hard work, perseverance, and passion for many athletes. In this division, experience and ambition meet – and this is precisely what is reflected in the development of our men's team.
After intensive years of development, in 2013 – together with SC Riesa – the team achieved promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. Just one year later, the sensational promotion to the 1st Bundesliga followed.
Since then, the team has been competing at a high level and until 2021 fluctuated several times between the 1st and 2nd leagues. After the relegation in 2024, the team showed character and confidently secured its place in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2025.
The focus is clearly on sustainability and youth development: The goal is to consistently guide our U21 talents to the Bundesliga level – with the long-term plan of establishing KSV Glauchau permanently in the 1st Bundesliga.

2013 Promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga
2014 Direct promotion to the 1st Bundesliga
2017 East German Champions
2022 Vice East German Champions
2023 East German Champions
